TVT Surgery

Why did I live with it for so many years? If only I had known I would have had my TVT surgery 10 years ago.

The precision and care of this operation was outstanding

After years of dreadful periods, a very large fibroid and being in total denial/terrified about undergoing any form of surgery. I have just had a Laparoscopic Sub-total Hysterectomy performed by Mr Louden – my absolute Hero! The precision and care of this operation was outstanding.

Three and a half weeks post op and with just four tiny mole size incisions. I have a whole new lifestyle. I am now a very happy healthy 45 year old doing and wearing anything my heart desires. I feel permanently fantastic. I am now looking forward to booking up lots of things “anytime” of the month. Thank you so much Mr Louden, for a life changing experience (one very happy female).

An absolute pleasure to have met you and I will be eternally grateful

I would like to say a very big thank you for everything you have done for me especially over the last 3 months. My hysterectomy has been a positive experience and I am grateful to everyone for the care I received while at Spire.

When I had my first consultation with you 10 years ago, you were the first person to help me and try to resolve the issues I now at last my troublesome and dysfunctional womb has been removed and we have come to the end of the journey. You are a remarkable consultant and it has been an absolute pleasure to have met you and I will be eternally grateful.

Thank you for everything.

You have all helped to make the process as easy and as stress free as possible”

I would like to express my thanks to you and your team at Gynaechoice for the excellent care I have received from you all.

From the arrangement of the first consultation with Mr Ash Monga through to arrangements for a biopsy and scans followed by arrangements for my surgery (Sub-total Hysterectomy, Sacrocolpopexy and removal of ovaries) and subsequent follow-up, you have all helped to make the process as easy and as stress free as possible. The care I have received has been first class, from the skill of Mr Monga to the anaesthetist and the staff at the Spire Hospital. All these factors have been instrumental to my rapid recovery from such a big op. I am grateful to you all.

For the first time in 10 years I am pain free

I recently had a hysterectomy performed by Mr Louden. From the very first consultation he made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and I’d like to say I’d wish I had it done years ago. For the first time in 10 years I am pain free.

No longer do I have the back, legs and tummy pain, and as an added extra I can laugh, sneeze, and cough without having an accident which is great. I feel fantastic.

Mr Louden is definitely my hero. I think you guys are brilliant.

A service delivered with extreme professionalism

I feel I must write to thank you so very much for the care given to me during my short time with Mr Monga. From the very first telephone conversation with Debbie until my discharge I received nothing short of a service delivered with extreme professionalism, but with such understanding and compassion. Gynaechoice and its staff put me completely at ease and answered all queries efficiently and promptly and well, Mr Monga, he has to be the best! What a wonderful gentleman.

My thanks also to Dr Suzanne Johnson and Dr Butler and lastly, but certainly not least, the nursing staff. They were so friendly and reassuring.

Thank you all so very much. I hope I will not need your services again but, if I do, I now know what capable hands I will be in.

My dreams have now come true

I had a laparoscopy last November under Mr Moors and after this he helped me with my Referral for my 1st Course of IVF. I am pleased to announce that the IVF was successful first time and on the 18th October 2010 I gave birth to a healthy baby Girl!

I would like to thank Mr Moors for performing such a good job on my op and helping me to contact the IVF treatment centre.

I will be forever grateful for all his help. My dreams have now come true.

Thank you Mr Moors for giving me my life back!

I suffered irregular and extremely heavy periods for many years. It became quite debilitating because I couldn’t leave the house on some days, I was also left feeling tired, and drained of energy.

Mr Moors diagnosed fibroids and adenomyosis and at last I had the answers.

The best treatment option for me was a Partial Hysterectomy keeping my ovaries and cervix, a little scared at first but confident this would change my life for the better, I went for it! I had a Laparoscopic procedure and could not believe I was only in hospital for 2 nights and even better back to work 2 weeks later!!

I was straight back into the swing of things with no complications whatsoever. I’m really pleased I had this done as I am now pain free with no more bloated feeling and heavy bleeding. Thank you

Now free from miserable periods, I am running the London Marathon

I had a sub-total hysterectomy in Nov 2008. I had an enormous fibroid and was absolutely terrified! Now free from miserable periods, I am running the London 2011 Marathon in April for Amref – a charity which promotes and provides healthcare and health education throughout Africa. I could never have contemplated doing this with my previous condition.

The operation has made a huge difference to my life. Please share with women who may be as scared as I was that it really is worth it. Since the op, I have run a 10k race for Parkinson’s UK, walked to the floor of the Grand Canyon (and back up again!) and am about to go to Kenya to build classrooms for a rural school there. None of this would have been possible with my fibroid and periods problems.

Wonderful, gifted and dedicated

Words cannot say how thankful I am for all Dr Metcalf has done for me. Without him operating on me so successfully I would not be where I am today. When I was first diagnosed I was in complete shock and thought my future looked bleak. I know I still have a long road ahead and pray that I will continue as I have done, but to get where I am today, I couldn’t have done without him. I know he works so incredibly hard and I wish there was something more I could do to thank him for all he has done for me. He is a wonderful, gifted and dedicated person who I am forever grateful to.
