Mr Ash Monga on Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies

Our consultant gynaecologist - Mr Ash Monga treats a vaginal prolapse on Embarrassing Illnesses.

A vaginal prolapse affects up to 30% of women who have had children, are overweight or have had a severe cough. Mr Ash Monga specialises in treating such disorders of the pelvic floor, including urinary incontinence, prolapsed and faecal incontinence. In addition, he is a general gynaecologist and looks after patients with menstrual disorders, fibroids, endometriosis and menopausal problems.

He has been a consultant gynaecologist and sub-specialist urogynaecologist in the Southampton University Hospital Trust since 1997 and was the first person to go through the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists sub-specialty training in urogynaecology.
