Ovarian Cancer Action have been a continuous driving force behind this incredibly important month. Generating fantastic support through donations from the public, as well as utilizing the power of media outlets such as BBC online and major newspapers, creates an invaluable contribution to the ongoing awareness of ovarian cancer.

This year, Cervical Cancer Prevention Week runs from the 22nd to the 28th of January. This initiative, lead by the European Cervical Cancer Association, focuses on cervical cancer and the ways in which it can be prevented or treated. With 20% of women not taking up their invitation for cervical screening, and 50% of girls not have the HPV vaccine, it is more important than ever to make sure people know that this disease is preventable if properly dealt with.
After a successful event last year Gynaechoice will be exhibiting at the All Woman Show for their third consecutive year, on Sunday 6th November 2011, at the Winchester Guildhall. Information on the services available at Gynaechoice will be at hand, plus the opportunity to speak to one of the team.

The Gynaechoice consultants hosted an educational evening for GP’s providing an update on gynaecological treatments and procedures. The event took place on Thursday 10th February 2011 at 7.00pm at the Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital. Gynaechoice participated for the second consecutive year at the All Woman Show in Winchester on Sunday 7th November 2010 at the Winchester Guildhall. It was a great day for all visitors and we would like to thank everyone who came up to see us. We received some really valuable comments and look forward to returning again next year.
Gynaechoice and Wessex Fertility hosted a GP study day in the new Shane Warne suite at the Rose Bowl, Southampton on 7th October. The focus was on women's health and fertility. Thank you very much for your attendance and also your valuable feedback. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
